A Sorcerous Sentinel can use staffs, rods, and orbs as implements.

Tracer

You leave a trace of magic connecting you to a foe whenever you attack a foe. Whenever you a make an attack against a target, whether the attack hits or misses, you can mark the target. The mark lasts until the end of your next turn. A marked creature suffers a -2 penalty to attack rolls against for any attack that doesn't include you as a target. A creature can only be subject to a single mark at a time. A new mark superceds the old one.

Warded Transfer

Whenever a creature you have marked attacks an hits an ally, you can change the target of the attack to you as an immediate interrupt. This works even if you are outside the range of the attack.

Implement Focus

Choose an implement from the list below. When you are wielding that implement, you gain a special bonus determined by the implement. Staff Ward: When you are wielding you staff, you gain a +1 bonus to AC. Once per encounter, when using your Warded Transfer class feature, the attacks effect simply dissappears instead of targetting your or your ally. Rod of Reflection: Once per enocunter, when you use your Warded Transfer class feature, 1/2 of the damage you would take is instead transfered to the attacking creature. Orb of Denial: Once per encounter, when marking a creature with your Tracer class feature, you may have the mark inflict a -4 penalty to attack rolls.
